The FCPOA held its first ever Halloween Party on Nov. 1st at our Mess. The costumes were great, the atmosphere was fun, and a good time was had by all. Click here for the rest of the photos!

The next FCPOA meeting will be Thursday at 1300. See you there. Get the word out about the party on Saturday. FCPOA Mess at 2030, vans will be picking people up at the galley parking lot and in front of jams at 2030 and 2100. plan accordingly.

Here is what we have so far for the Halloween party.

Let ET1 Weakley know if you can help with something. Pass the word to your people about the party.

Don’t forget about the lunch time get together tomorrow (9 Oct 08) at the mess. We will be there at 1130 with burgers and dogs on the grill. Feel free to bring something if you like.

The 2008 Navy Ball started bright and early Saturday morning. The weather was perfect, sunny with a great temperature. The double-elimination, one-pitch tournament had 8 teams turn out. Our first match pitted us against the Chiefs, with our second match seeing us play the Marines. Unfortunately, this time, we didn’t quite have what it took to win. However, we still had a great time and hopefully next time will have a better turnout and more support to cheer us on!

National Night Out, an event that promotes safety awareness and crime and drug prevention, was held on 5 August 2008. The RFCA registered kids with the “Identi-kid” booth, fingerprinting children on base and providing their families a tool to keep on record with pertinent information in the event something would happen to their children. It was a lot of fun and was a great opportunity to show our support for the community here in Rota. Thanks to MA1 Dave Farnsworth for organizing this event and to the volunteers that helped out!
